Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn alongside Sierra Leone and two other countries in Group A for the qualifiers for next year’s AFCON in Ivory Coast
The three-time African champions also have 2021 AFCON foes Guinea Bissau and São Tomé and Principe or Mauritius in the same group.

In the draws ceremony held at the SuperSport Studios in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Tuesday, there are 12 groups with the top two teams of each group automatically qualifying for the tournament.
The qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON will kick-off across the continent in June 2022.
