…launches Reset Nigeria Movement
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the Allied People’s Movement (APM).
The governor also unveiled the Reset Nigeria Movement alongside a dedicated campaign website aimed at driving nationwide mobilisation ahead of the poll.
Makinde said the platform would serve as the central hub for the movement’s vision, policy engagement, volunteer registration, and grassroots participation across Nigeria and the diaspora.

Speaking at Mapo Hall on Thursday, the governor said the country requires competent and accountable leadership capable of restoring public trust, strengthening institutions, and delivering measurable progress for citizens.
Makinde’s declaration was witnessed by party leaders, including, Osun State former governor Olagusoye Oyinlola, professionals, youth groups and supporters are expected to gather as nationwide mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election begins.
Makinde said, “Nigeria cannot continue with politics as usual. This is the time to reset our nation, rebuild public trust, strengthen institutions, and create a system that works for all Nigerians”.
