CAF Partners FIFA To Reform Referees Commission In Africa

To enhance their development and improve the quality of officiating in Africa, the African soccer governing body (CAF) has partnered with the World soccer governing body (FIFA) in reforming the commission. This is one of the resolutions agreed upon by the football body at the Extraordinary Assembly that was held in Egypt on Friday. www.realsportscast4.co.uk gathered that FIFA through its president Gianni Infantino said they are ready to train, evaluate and make African referees the best in the profession. “FIFA and CAF are now partnership to professionalised African refereeing. Take the best referee, evaluate them, help them to improve themselves better and better in particular, provide them with the necessary training,” he said. Former Italian referee Pierluigi Colina announced the star project that will see 24 referees from a dedicated academy in the continent selected for it.
