CAFCC: Plateau United Arrives Benghazi For Al Akhdar

Ahead of the second leg match of the CAF Confederation Cup against Al Akhdar of Libya, Nigeria’s representative Plateau United has arrived in Benghazi, Libya for the game.

The Jos-based club under coach Fidelis Ilechukwu departed the country two days ago for Libya after having intensive training for the game.

The Nigeria side arrived in Libya on Tuesday morning brimming with confidence after a huge 4-1 first-leg victory last week at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

After missing out narrowly on the group stage of the Champions League to Esperance of Tunisia, Plateau United is willing to qualify for the group stage of the Confederation Cup.

They will observe their compulsory training at the match venue later in the day as the game is slated for Wednesday as the winner over the two legs on aggregate reaches the group stage of the tournament.
