‎Prosperity Cup Organizers Laud Barr. Blankson’s Financial Support for U-15 Tourney

‎The Central Organizing Committee, COC of Nigeria’s biggest grassroots football spectacle, the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament tagged the Prosperity Cup, have commended Barr. Osomkime Blankson for supporting the U-15 football scouting tournament in the State.

‎The COC in a statement signed by the Deputy Director General, Mr. Perela Aboro and Tournament Director, Mr. Ebi Avi hailed Barr Osomkime Blankson for investing in the future of footballers in Bayelsa State.

‎The COC described the gesture as a huge investment that is capable of producing the next generation of stars in the nation, noting that the gesture reflects Barr. Blankson’s passion for sports development.

‎According to the statement Barr. Blankson’s support has added greater impetus to the U-15 scouting tournament, maintaining that the exercise would provide another opportunity for Bayelsa-born players to be featured in the various cadet national teams in the country.

‎It urged other well-meaning Bayelsans and corporate organizations to emulate Barr Osomkime Blankson’s gesture by making contributions to the development of grassroots sports in the State, pointing out that the government alone cannot do it.

‎”We want to thank you for supporting our U-15 scouting programme. You have shown commitment in rewriting the story of our young footballers in the State, this is an investment for the future, we believe that one day, our young footballers will become world champions through this platform” the COC stated.

‎”Our vision is to see Bayelsa youths competing favourably with their peers outside the state, even at the global stage. Your support has smoothened the progress of the tournament. We want to thank you immensely for your contribution towards the actualisation of the tournament”, the statement emphasized.

‎”We are giving these children the platform to develop their talents, build confidence and prepare them for greater opportunities in the future, in line with the vision of the governor Douye Diri, who is prioritizing the development of sports since he assumed office as governor”.
