Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper, Ange Gabrielle Bawou, says the team is firmly focused on securing a place in the semi-final at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Nigerian champions bounced back from their opening game defeat to holders Mamelodi Sundowns with a 2-0 victory against TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic of Congo on Friday night.
The Prosperity Girls will take on Egypt’s Wadi Degla in their final group game on Sunday at the Stade Moulay Hassan, Rabat.
Domo Okara’s side need to win the game to be guaranteed a place in the last four.
Bawou stated that the debutants will give their all to progress into the knockout round.
“I think the loss of the first game has made us vigilant and we want to devour everything in our path,” the Cameroonian told CAFonline.com.
“We were hurt in our pride and we want to make up for what happened in our first game, so we will give our best to achieve our goals.”
Bawou was named Player of the Match in Bayelsa Queens’ last game against TP Mazembe.
