Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has accepted full responsibility for their Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
The Blues lost 11-10 on penalties to Jurgen Klopp’s men at Wembley Stadium.
The Reds won in dramatic style after Tuchel saw his late gamble backfire.
Tuchel introduced Kepa Arrizabalaga to replace Eduoard Mendy in the 119th minute ahead of the shootout.
However the Spaniard failed to save any kick and missed the crucial one himself.
Speaking after the game, Tuchel said: “We don’t know what would’ve happened if we left Edou on the pitch. No blame on Kepa. Blame on me as I’m the guy who takes the decisions.
“Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. This is life as a football coach.”
