Championship: Akpom grabs second Player of the Month award

Middlesbrough striker, Chuba Akpom has won the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month award for January.

It is the second time this season Akpom has won the award having picked up the individual accolade last November.

The Nigerian-born forward scored three goals in all competitions for Boro in the month.

The 26-year-old scored in the 3-1 victory at Birmingham City on New Year’s Day.

Akpom was also on target in the 2-0 win against Watford.
