Championship: Ndidi celebrates Leicester City dramatic win

Date:

Wilfred Ndidi has expressed his excitement after Leicester City dramatic 2-1 win at West Bromwich Albion kept them top of the English Championship.

Leicester City sit top of the standings with 46 points after 19 matches, a point ahead of closest rivals Ipswich Town.

“It was really brilliant,” Ndidi rejoiced after the away win with him bagging the Man of the Match.

“You could see how we acted on the bench and all the fans. It was really amazing because we actually needed it.

“We know it is very tight at the moment with the fact that the last game was not the best game, but we knew if we could get this, it’s really amazing because it gives us more steps ahead. It was really good.”

Ndidi returned from injury to assist for his team’s opening goal only for fellow Super Eagles star Josh Maja to draw West Brom level late on.

Kelechi Iheanacho was then involved in the stoppage time winner to keep ‘The Foxes’ top of the table.

Leicester City will now welcome Plymouth Argyle Saturday in continuation of the Championship.
