Ghana won the first leg 3-0 in Cape Coast and beat the Squirrels 1-0 in the reverse fixture at the Stade de l’Amittie, Cotonou.

The winner of the contest between Nigeria and Ghana will qualify for CHAN 2023 to be hosted by Algeria.

The return leg will be played in Nigeria between September 1-3, 2022.

Nigeria failed to qualify for the last edition of the competition hosted by Cameroon.
