CHAN 2023: Okocha, other African legends to grace opening ceremony

Former African legends including Super Eagles midfield maestro, Austine Jay Jay Okocha have been invited for the opening ceremony of the 2023 Championship of African Nations CHAN.

Okocha who featured in five African Cup of Nations was also part of the victorious 1994 set in Tunisia.

Along with Okocha, Rabah Madjer, who represented Algeria for 19 years and participated in two World Cups in 1982 and 1986 as well as the AFCON in 1990, will guide the legends and welcome them to his country.

Samuel Eto’o, a two-time African champion and head of the Cameroon Football Federation, will also be a part of this illustrious group.

Others are Didier Drogba, Asamoah Gyan and Yaya Toure.
