Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has admitted he is anticipating a tough battle against defending champions Senegal.
Nigeria will face Senegal in their opening Group D fixture at the 2024 African Nations Championship on Tuesday night.
The much-anticipated clash is scheduled to take place at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.
The Eagles last featured in the competition in 2018, where they finished second after a crushing 4-0 defeat to hosts Morocco in the final.

Nigeria also came third at the 2014 edition hosted by South Africa.
The two teams are among the favourites to win the title this time around.
Chelle declared that both countries will put up a good show for the fans.
“I don’t know if it’s a debate, but I know this is a game for two big countries in Africa,” Chelle told a press conference on Monday.
“Senegal and Nigeria have a history in football. They have lots of good teams, lots of good generations that play well, so this is a great game. Senegal is a big team.”
