Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho is back in action from the start for Leicester City after two consecutive bench roles as the Nigerian seeks to score his second goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge Thursday evening.
The Nigerian was an unused substitute for the Foxes in the 3-0 defeat of Norwich City at the King Power stadium early this month and in the 5-1 demolition of Emmanuel Dennis’ Watford at Vicarage Road stadium last weekend.
The 25 year old has been restored to the starting line up by gaffer Brendan Rodgers and will be eager to score his third Premier League of the year and fifth this outgoing season to take his total goal involvement to 10 for only the third time in his seventh season in the English topflight.
He has bagged five assists so far this season.
The Super Eagles forward first reached double figures in his goal involvement in the competition in his very first season (2015/16) when he scored eight times and bagged two assists in 26 games for Manchester City.
He achieved his second only last season, scoring 12 times and provided two assists to take his total goal involvenment to 14, his best so far.
Iheanacho has scored 37 goals in 167 Premier League appearances so far and has bagged 20 assists.
