Consistency, Grooming Of Coaches, Players My Priority – Barr Paul Edeh

as he bags FCPA Fellow

Chairman of Benue State Football Federation has reinstated his zeal and willingness to groom more players and coaches at the grassroots level as one of his priorities to develop football at the local level.

Speaking with Sportsdayonline and joansportsbliss at his special Investiture as fellow Chartered Institute Of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria. Barr Paul Samuel Edeh who was happy at the honor done him said the honorarium will spur him more to do well for football at the local level.

“It is a day of joy for me . Because it is the day the supreme court of Nigeria liberated the local government from the crawls of state governors that have asserted themselves as the landlords of the local government. For me i believe it is the birth of a new dawn for the Local Governments administration in Nigeria and as a fellow. I am glad to be inducted today.

Bringing it into football development, o do not find it surprising to be inducted as one of the fellows, because as a sports administrator the vision i set for the Benue State Football association is to grow the game of football at the grassroots, wherein we will sustain the growth trajectory of football from the grassroots level which by extension is the local government.

This is a well deserved induction which will spur me further to see how i will continue to do more in terms of the game at the local level.

We will consistently see how we could train our local coaches. Over time we see coaches who spring up without proper training. Reason we have partnership with NFF, NIS and various institutions to see that coaches training are sustained” he concluded.
