Super Eagles forward, Peter Olayinka, has reacted to Slavia Prague’s performance in Sunday night’s 4-1 win against Bohemians.
Olayinka marked his 100th appearance for Slavia Prague with a brace and an assist in the Czech SuperLiga clash.
The striker, who was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon has now scored four goals in the league this season.
“The match was cool, good for us. We panicked a bit when they scored, but we turned it around,” he told the club’s official website.
“I think my goals helped us turn it around. After that everyone understood what we had to do – work even harder. In the end, we managed it and got three points.”
Slavia Prague has now won five matches in a row following the defeat to title rivals, Viktoria Plzen.
Olayinka revealed the secret behind the team’s turnaround.
“Our team spirit is back! You can see that everyone is ready and focused. They understand the importance of winning for the team and for the fans. The mood in the cabin is very good now,” he added.
