NFF mourns ex-Super Eagles star Ebiede

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has mourned former Super Eagles midfielder, Emmanuel Ebiede who died on Friday at the age of 47.

The ex-Nigeria international passed away at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, after suffering from Hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver).

Reacting to his death on Saturday, NFF wrote via its verified Twitter page: “The Nigeria Football Federation mourns the passing of former national team player, Emmanuel Ebiede, who died in Port Harcourt on Friday, 14th April at the age of 47 after battling with hepatomegaly. May his soul Rest in Peace.”

Ebiede was a member of the Flying Eagles squad at the African Youth Championship on home soil in 1995.
