David Okereke flashes Okocha skills in Cremonese draw

Cremonese right back David Okereke was in scintillating form Wednesday night in the Italia Seria A. The 25 year old was on target to deny host AC Milan opportunity of singing victory song at home.

In grabbing the 77th minute goal the Nigeria re-enacted what looked like Jay Jay Okocha’s skill as he forced two AC Milan defenders to sit down following a number of moves before scoring the goal with panache.

But for Junior Messiars last minute equaliser Cremonese would have run away with three points and a well-deserved victory.

Although it was an impressive run for Cremonese the club nonetheless remains in the relegation belt with just 21 points in 33 matches played. You could call it different stroke for Okeke and compatriot Victor Osimhen who is set to celebrate league victory with Napoli who accumulated 79 points from 32 matches played. Cremonese will next face Spezia on Saturday while Napoli host Fiorentina on Sunday.

Okereke who is on € 19,808 weekly wage with the Italian league side has his contract intact till June 2025.

The Nigerian international, who has made 29 appearances, has netted seven goals in the league this season.

Okereke interestingly came into the match as late substitute for Marco Benassi in the 56th minute made instant impact with his effort crowned by 77th minute goal.
