Afrobeats star Davido has broken his silence on his loss at the 68th Grammy Awards, striking a note of faith and resilience as he reaffirmed confidence that God remains on his side.

In a post on his Instagram page after the ceremony in Los Angeles, the singer shared photos of himself and his wife at the event, accompanied by prayer and music emojis, and a short message that read: “Oluwa dey my side.”

Davido was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards, held on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles.

The award went to South African singer Tyla for her hit song Push 2 Start, edging out a competitive field that included Burna Boy (Love), Ayra Starr and Wizkid (Gimme Dat), Davido (With You featuring Omah Lay), as well as Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin (Hope & Love).

The win marked Tyla’s second Grammy, following her 2024 triumph with the global hit Water.

Despite the loss, Davido’s fans have rallied around him, flooding social media with messages of support and praise, while congratulating him for flying the flag for Afrobeats on the global stage.
