Develop Your Coaches Turkish Agent Tells Nigerian Football Authorities

Turkish football agent, Hakan Uyanmis, CEO H.Sports Management agency has advised the Nigerian football authorities to develop the coaches if they want to develop Nigerian football.

Uyanmis made this call during a football scouting program at the Nathaniel Idowu stadium, Ajegunle, organised by Kelvin Etemike’s Tristone Sports and OTP of Finland.

According to Uyanmis, Nigerian coaches need to learn modern approach and ways of doing things.

“Develop your coaches if you want to develop your football.

“Your coaches at the grassroots level need to be qualified and know what they impact on the young ones.

“This is why we have added coaching clinic to our scouting programs”, he noted.

He however praised the quality and abundance of talents they unearthed while on their tour of the country organising scouting and coaching programs.

The team moved from Abuja the Federal capital territory in the North Central, to Bayelsa and Port Harcourt both in the South- South region of the country, before making their last stop in Lagos in the South west.

“It has been an eventful and successful period in Nigeria.

“We saw many good players which we believe has what it takes to play at the highest level in Europe with proper guidance and nurturing”, he said.

Uyanmis said he doesn’t care about statistics or goals rather what he looks out for in a player is first touch, stamina, power, speed, balance and good body physique.

“I don’t care about statistics, I don’t care about goals, what I look out for in a player is his first touch, stamina, power, speed, balance and good body physique before I begin to look at if he’s talented or not.

“But these things I mentioned are very essential for me”, he concluded.
