Jennifer Echegini expressed her joy at being selected for the Super Falconsโ squad at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games.
The midfielder, who was a surprise addition to Randy Waldrumโs team during last yearโs FIFA Womenโs World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, will now represent Nigeria for the second time in a major tournament in Paris.
Speaking to NFF TV, the 23-year-old former Florida State Seminoles star said, โIโm really excited to be part of the squad for this big tournament. Itโs always an honor to wear Nigeriaโs crest. It is a big honor for me to be part of this team.โ

Recently signing with Paris Saint-Germain, Echegini anticipates the challenge of joining the renowned French club, stating, โIโm excited, kind of nervous, obviously PSG is a good team. I donโt know what to expect, it is going to be challenging but I am ready for the challenge.โ
Looking ahead, she added, โAfter this tournament thatโs where I will be going. Iโm just excited, good things are coming up again.โ
