Nigeria’s Edo Queens have advanced to the semi-finals of the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League after a decisive 3-0 victory over Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies in their second Group B match.

Emem Essien scored twice, and Suliat Abideen added another goal, securing Edo Queens’ second consecutive win in the competition and guaranteeing their place in the semi-finals with a game still to play.

Under the leadership of Moses Adukwu, Edo Queens previously defeated AS Garde of Niger 5-0 in their opening match. They have scored eight goals and conceded none across their two games.

Edo Queens are aiming to become the third Nigerian club to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League, following Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens, in this fourth edition of the tournament.

Delta Queens are the only team that failed to advance to the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2023 despite the fact that the Qualifier was held in Edo State, Nigeria.

Edo Queens will face Burkina Faso’s AO Etincelle on Saturday , August 17th  at Stade de la Paix, Bouake with only a draw enough to confirm then as group winner.
