Enabulele Applauds Bendel Insurance’s 4–0 Rout of Ikorodu, Celebrates Boboye

It was an electrifying evening at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium as Bendel Insurance FC thrashed Ikorodu FC 4–0 in Matchday 28 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The jubilant Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, expressed delight at the emphatic victory.

In a statement by his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele described the win as the perfect birthday gift for head coach, Kennedy Boboye.

“I applaud today’s victory of our darling Bendel Insurance team. The boys fought hard to celebrate their remarkable coach,” Enabulele said.

He credited the triumph to the team’s resilience, discipline and focus, noting that the performance reflects Edo State’s strong sporting spirit.

Enabulele also praised Coach Boboye’s impact, highlighting the club’s rise from 19th to sixth position and three consecutive away wins as evidence of strong leadership.

Despite Kayode’s early goal being ruled out, Alex Oweifaleya opened scoring in the 15th minute, with Udom Wisdom adding another in the 24th. Oweifaleya completed his brace in the 27th minute before sealing his hat-trick in the 59th minute.

Also present at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium was the Chairman of Bendel Insurance FC, Chief Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, who was on ground to inspire and motivate the players, lending his full support as the team powered to an emphatic victory.

Bendel Insurance now sit sixth on the table with 41 points.
