The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has congratulated the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on his well-deserved recognition as Best Governor of the Year (Education) by the management of New Telegraph Newspaper.
In a statement issued through his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Hon. Enabulele described the prestigious award as a strong affirmation of Governor Okpebholo’s visionary leadership, firm commitment to human capital development, and strategic investment in the education sector across the state through his SHINE Agenda.
According to him, under Governor Okpebholo’s purposeful and people-focused administration, the education sector in Edo State has witnessed significant reforms, improved infrastructure, expanded access to quality learning, and strengthened policies aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to thrive in a competitive global environment.

“This award reflects the measurable progress recorded in the education sector and the Governor’s unwavering resolve to place education at the heart of sustainable development in Edo State,” Enabulele stated.

“As a key stakeholder in youth development through sports, we at the Edo State Sports Commission commend Your Excellency’s holistic approach to empowerment—where education and sports work hand in hand to build disciplined, confident, and productive citizens,” he added.
“This honour further motivates us to deepen our alignment with your vision and to continue contributing meaningfully to the growth and advancement of our dear state.”
Hon. Enabulele also commended the management of New Telegraph Newspaper for promoting excellence in governance and for spotlighting impactful leadership in the education sector.
