Enabulele Praises Bendel Insurance, Edo Queens for Gritty Performances and Impressive Away Wins

BENIN – The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has congratulated Bendel Insurance FC on their hard-earned 1–0 away victory over Kwara United at the ilorin Township Stadium in Matchday 20 of the second round of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Enabulele lauded the team’s tactical discipline, resilience and strong mentality, which paid off with a decisive goal by Akpan Emmanuel in the 37th minute to secure maximum points on the road. He described the result as a major boost to the club’s season and a testament to the dedication and commitment of the players and the technical crew led by Coach Kennedy Boboye.

Bendel Insurance currently sit 8th on the NPFL table with 29 points, and the latest triumph marks their third consecutive away victory, following earlier wins against Katsina United and Remo Stars, further affirming the team’s growing consistency and confidence.

The Sports Commission boss also commended Edo Queens for their dominant 3–0 away win over Naija Ratels in Abuja, describing the performance as a clear statement of quality and intent.

Enabulele specifically applauded the goal scorers, with Doosuur Atume opening the scoring in the 45th minute, Mary Mammudu extending the lead in the 62nd minute, and Oscar Precious rounding off the emphatic victory with a late strike in the 86th minute.

According to Enabulele, the convincing result highlights Edo Queens’ cohesion, attacking prowess and rising confidence as the season progresses.

Enabulele further reaffirmed the Edo State Sports Commission’s unwavering support for all Edo teams, expressing optimism that sustained hard work, unity and determination will translate into even greater achievements in the days ahead.
