EPL: Arsenal U23s boss Betsy joins Crawley in first step into management

Arsenal Under-23s manager, Kevin Betsy, has left the club to take charge of League Two side Crawley.

The Reds announced the appointment on Monday after the departure of John Yems following a series of allegations against the manager for racial slurs and discriminatory treatment of certain players.

The move is Betsy’s first into senior management following spells in charge of the England Under-15, U16, U17 and U18 sides before his switch to Arsenal in August of last year.

The former Fulham and Wycombe midfielder led the Gunners’ reserve side to third in the U23 Premier League first division in his lone season at the club.
