West Ham United manager David Moyes is keen for his captain Declan Rice to join Chelsea this summer as part of a move to sign their midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Moyes, however, is resigned to Rice choosing Arsenal over other Premier League clubs.

Rice appears to have played his last game for West Ham after leading the club to win the Europa Conference glory in Prague last week.

The England international has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Bayern Munich.

However, Arsenal have viewed Rice as their top summer target since the start of the year and are thought to be close to agreeing to a £100million deal to bring him to the Emirates this summer.

Manchester United also have a long-term interest in the midfielder, while Bayern Munich have made him a summer transfer target, and Chelsea have been another possible destination.

But according to The Sun, Moyes would prefer for the Hammers to do business with Chelsea and make a play to bring Gallagher to East London in a part-exchange deal for Rice.

Gallagher is among the host of Chelsea players who could be sold this summer as Mauricio Pochettino’s side attempts to trim their bloated squad after last season’s dismal 12th-place finish in the Premier League.
