EPL: I’ll be forever grateful – Midfielder leaves Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder, Saul Niguez, has confirmed that he is leaving the club this summer.

The Spaniard disclosed this in a series of tweets via his Twitter handle on Tuesday evening.

Niguez had joined Chelsea from Atlético Madrid on loan last season.

The 27-year-old thanked his Blues teammates for their support during the campaign.

Niguez will now return to his parent club in Madrid.

He tweeted: “Hello blues,
“I’m writing to take my leave of you. I would like to tell you how I felt during this adventure. Things didn’t start well at all. After a long time at home, changing everything wasn’t easy. (…)

“Thank you for making this club much bigger. Thanks to all the fans for supporting me through thick and thin. I will be forever grateful.”
