EPL: Liverpool ace Salah proud to break Fowler record with Man Utd thrashing

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah was proud of his record-breaking performance in victory over Manchester United.

The 7-0 scoreline was the biggest in the fixture’s history and Salah’s brace saw him pass Robbie Fowler as Liverpool’s greatest goalscorer.

He later said: “It is very special to win a game like that. We need to stay humble and win our games. Hopefully it will give us a big push.”

On his goal record, Salah said: “It’s very special. I cannot lie. To get it today against Manchester United is unbelievable.”

On which is his favourite goals of all he has scored, he smiled: “The last one.”
