By finishing outside the top four last season, the Reds have failed to qualify for the expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

The Mirror says £150m is up for grabs in the 32 team tournament, which will be held in the summer of 2025.

Eight places have been handed to European clubs for their UEFA coefficiency.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle could join Chelsea and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City should they lift the Champions League next season.
