EPL: Ndidi, Iheanacho, others get emotional after Rodger’s sacking

Leicester City striker Patson Daka has revealed that the players were upset over the sacking of manager Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers was axed after four years in charge on Saturday.

Daka told the club’s official matchday programme: “The news has just made us all emotional.

“For me, he was the one who brought me to this club and I feel disappointed and partly responsible as well for what has happened.

“I feel I didn’t do enough to help him keep his job. What’s done is done. We can’t change it right now. What we have to do is stick together, concentrate and work together as a team to make sure that we stay in the Premier League, which is the target right now.

“I believe we can do that, and we will do that. It’s more a fresh start. I think we just have to not dwell on what we have lost, but we have to look forward to the future.”
