Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has blamed the club’s hierarchy over their lack of recruitment strategy for the poor results.
Again, Manchester United were beaten 4-0 by Brentford on Saturday barely a week they were defeated by Brighton.
The Red Devils are now lying bottom of the Premier League table with zero points from their two opening games.
Goals from Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo made sure that the Bees ran away with three points against the Red Devils. .
Gary Neville said on Sky Sports: “Every club has a plan, and Manchester United’s this summer seems to have been to just look at the Dutch league or players who have worked with Ten Hag.
“That is not a strategy. You can’t do that. That was 15 years ago . You’ve got to have your own independent recruitment strategy where you’ve got players identified, the works been done with the agents and you know who is coming in.
“You always try to please the manager, but the one he does have a good contact with he can’t get in – Frenkie de Jong.”
