Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Conte, has warned his players that “nobody is undroppable”.
Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
This weekend, they face bottom-of-the-table Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
“There are no players that are undroppable.
“It’s only to try to help the players and to try to avoid injuries. To have players at the top of their form and to have a good performance.
“Then you know you can play one game well, another you can score, another not, but my task is to try to protect my players and to protect the team. Also to find the right way to have a result,” Conte said.
A week ago, the former Juventus and Chelsea boss had sounded a similar warning to Son Heung-Min.
The South Korean is yet to score in any competition this season for The Lilywhites.
