Man City manager Pep Guardiola has named Liverpool as the favourites to win the English Premier League (EPL) title, following his sideโs goalless draw with Arsenal on Sunday.
Liverpool came from behind in the early kick off to beat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield.
The results mean Jurgen Kloppโs men are now two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
Asked if Liverpool were now favourites to lift the title, Guardiola said: โYes. First is always favourite, second is Arsenal and weโre third. Itโs not in our hands. Aston Villa is the next game, so try to win it. Itโs simple.
โWe take the point. We tried. We didnโt create much, they didnโt create much. They defended very compactly and had a lot of quality and physicality. As a team, weโre still there.

โWe could have more in some aspects, but Iโm satisfied. I told the team โdonโt be sadโ. You have to give credit to Arsenal for the things they do. Maybe we miss a little it in the final third but it is not easy.
โThe last game at the Emirates was quite similar. We tried to create a little more but it is not easy. They are fantastic at what they do and that is why they were top of the league, now it is Liverpool. They played well all of last season and this season.โ
