From next season, referees in the Premier League will explain Video Assistant Referee, VAR, decisions to fans inside the stadium.
This follows a green light from football lawmakers, the International Football Association Board, IFAB.
According to Mail Sport, IFAB has approved match officials to offer explanations in league fixtures following successful trials in Mexico and Portugal.

A confirmation is expected before their AGM in March.
Premier League referees’ chief, Howard Webb, has been a strong advocate of greater transparency since joining PGMOL in 2022.
Webb is also in support of officials being able to communicate their decisions to fans in stadiums.
