EPL: They are lying about me – Ronaldo ready to open up on Man Utd future

Date:

Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that the truth about his attempts to leave the club will come out “in a couple of weeks”.

Ronaldo has been unable to seal a move away from Old Trafford with just two weeks left before the summer window closes.

Instead, the 37-year-old started United’s 4-0 thrashing at Brentford last Saturday.

Having remained tight-lipped over his future publicly, Ronaldo has now broken his silence to fume about lies in the media about him.

He wrote on Instagram: “They know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks. The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only 5 were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip.”

Although United have continuously insisted Ronaldo is not for sale, it is believed manager Erik ten Hag is ready to let the five-time Ballon d’Or winner leave.
