Essien Nse: Rivers United FC will come out successful in the return leg Vs Al Nasr Benghazi

Rivers United FC will head to Libya for the return leg of their CAF Confederation Cup playoff game vs Al Nasr Benghazi on November 9, 2022 with a healthy 5-0 aggregate lead.

Ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff game, Rt. Hon. Nse Essien who heads NFF’s delegation for the continental engagement has predicted a successful finish for Rivers United FC.

Essien Nse is an Executive Committee Member of the Nigerian Football Federation – NFF, and was appointed leader of the Federation’s delegation for the game.

Buoyed by Rivers United FC’s excellent performance in the 5-0 first leg win over Al Nasr Benghazi at the Adokieye Amasiamaka stadium, Port Harcourt on Wednesday November 2, Essien is confident Rivers United will make Nigerians happy.

He said “Excellent display of football. We are sure that by the time the return leg comes up next week, they will come out successful, because a 5-0 advantage is a big boost into the second leg”

“The NFF is ready to make sure that football goes back to the glory days.

“Everyone’s hand is on deck to ensure that Nigerians are happy again, ” the NFF Executive Committee member concluded.

Rivers United FC will travel to Libya to face Al Nasr Benghazi in the return leg scheduled for Wednesday November 9, 2022 at the ’28 March Stadium’ in Benghazi.

In the same competition, Nigerian club Plateau United FC were 4-1 victors against another Libyan opposition Al Akhder SC in the first leg encounter decided on Wednesday November 2 in Abuja.

The Peace Boys will also travel to Libya for the return leg next week as both clubs push for a place in the group stage of this seasons CAF Confederation Cup.
