The Team FCT has won the bronze medal in the Handball male event in the ongoing National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
After suffering a hard loss in the semi final match against host Ogun, Team FCT however picked themselves up to annihilate Edo State team in the Bronze medal match played Tuesday, with a 30 -17 win.
Right from the blast of the whistle, Team FCT wasted no time in showing their intention to win by making home their points, scoring all available goals.
First half ended 10-5 while the Second half ended 30-17.
While speaking with Sportsday, team captain, Atabor Abubakar said, it was their target to pick the gold medal, but unfortunately lost to the host team.
“After the match, we spoke to ourselves to go all out for the bronze medal which we are happy we achieved, he concluded.
