Flying Eagles’ Friendly With Central African Republic Cancelled, To Play Kawkab Athletics

The Flying Eagles second international friendly match against Central African Republic in their camp in Morocco has been cancelled.

In order to keep the team fit for the 17th U20 African Nations Cup in Egypt, the seven times African champions organised another friendly match with Kawkab Athletics U23 team which kicks off at 5:00 pm Wednesday. 

Sharif Abdallah, the Flying Eagles Media Officer made this known to BSN Sports. 

He wrote; “The team got a notification of calling off the preparatory game against CAR U20 slated for tomorrow as swiftly plan was made for the Flying Eagles to tackle Kawkab Athletic U23 tomorrow at 5pm. 

He added that the Wednesday friendly game will be last warm-up game before the team depart for Egypt venue of the age-grade tournament. 

“The game against Kawkab Athletics U23 tomorrow at the Complexe Sportif, Sidi Mohammed, Ain Sebaa, 5pm local time (5pm Nigerian time) will be the last test game for the Flying Eagles before the team depart to Cairo on Thursday morning. 

“The 21 man list is expected to be announced on Wednesday after the game against Kawkab Athletics U23 before the team’s departure on Thursday.” He concluded.

Nigeria are in group A with Senegal, Egypt and Mozambique.
