Gafar Lauds MS 12 U-13 Super League Organisers

Vice chairman, Lagos state Football Association and Proprietor of 36 Lions FC, Liameed Olawale Gafar has showered
encomiums on organisers of MS 12 U-13 Super League football competition, saying their vision is in tandem with the Lagos FA’s grassroot development plan.

The successful football administrator, while speaking during the opening ceremony of the competition, praised the idea and assured them of the FA’s 100% support.
“I want to commend the organisers of this league for putting up such a commendable idea.

“This is in line with the FA’s development plan which seeks to discover talented football players at a very young age and nurture them to become future stars.
“The FA will continue to support you and many others with such laudable ideas”, he said.

The Lagos state FA Vice Chairman also promised that the FA will look at improving the facility at the Maracana mini stadium at Ijora, Oloye where the league is taking place, because it’s part of the new board’s vision.

“The FA will look at improving the facilities in this stadium as part of our infrastructural development vision”, he concluded.

Meanwhile, three fascinating matches went down yesterday after the opening ceremony.
The first game, which featured B-Units vs FC Bethel Sporting 1 ended 2-0 in favour of FC Bethel Sporting 1.

Two well -taking goals in the 22nd and 26th minute from FC Bethel’s kid dynamo and the game’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winner, Destiny was all they needed to claim the maximum 3 points.

The Game 2 of the day saw Sunshine FC running away 3-2 winners against Wazbak FC int’l in a pulsating encounter.
Goals from Ayinde Habeeb, Ayinde Waris and Sunday Felix in the 7th, 15th and 26th minute respectively, ensured that Sunshine FC took an early 3-0 lead.

But a spirited fight back in what would have been a monumental comeback by Wazbak FC, saw them pull 2goals back in the 28th and 34th minute through same player, Joshua Michael as the game finished 3-2 in favour of Sunshine FC.

The FC Bethel Sporting 11 proved too strong for Strong Dove FC, as they hammered them 3-1.

Goals from Emmanuel Adesanya, Paul Samuel and Charles Boluwatife were enough to put Strong Dove FC to the sword.

The goals were in the 8th minute, 35th minute

and 38th minute to make it 3-0. But as the game wind up,

Isiaka Aliamin pulled one goal back for Strong Dove FC to end the game at 3-1.
