Golden Eaglets Hold First Training Session Ahead U17 AFCON Opener Against Zambia

The Nigeria U17 men’s national team on Monday had their first training session under the watchful eyes of head coach Nduka Ugbade at the Nelson Mandela Stadium Algiers, Algeria.

The five times world champions left Abuja, Nigeria on Sunday after visa hitches stopped their European tour of Germany to further their preparations ahead of the CAF age grade championship.

List of 26 players who made the cut was released on Sunday by the Nigeria Football Federation.

Golden Eaglets will start their campaign in the CAF U17 African Nations Cup against Zambia on Sunday at the Stade Mohammed Hamlaoui before taking on Morocco and South Africa in other group B matches.

The top four teams in Algeria will qualify to represent Africa at the FIFA U17 World Cup finals later this year.
