Gombe United Chairman Daniel Congratulates Team on NPFL Return

The Chairman of Gombe United FC Olare Daniel  has congratulated his team for their  emphatic return to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL.

Gombe United FC  are about to be crowned Nigerian NNL champions in Enugu if they defeat their next opponent in the  final classification game on Sunday.

The Chairman who watched the game between Gombe United and Niger Tornadoes live at University of Nigeria Enugu Camp Stadium  on Saturday, said he is satisfied with the performance and conduct of his team in the ongoing competition.

“We have gone through a lot and thank God, we got a well deserving promotion to the NPFl, the team has lived up expectations”.

“Though it has not been easy for the boys in the beginning against ElKanemi which ended up in draws. We also recording a sweet winning against DMD and today battle Niger Tornadoes which was a good one for us. so we are happy,” he said.

“I want to thank everyone for their support especially our sport loving Governor of Gombe State Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya for his total support towards team and we all proud of what this team has achieved”.

He told www.sportsdayonline.com that the vision of the team at the get go, was to make an immediate return to the NPFL and that has been achieved.

He also promised to give the team the necessary support to enable them sustain their status at the NPFF also work harder to pick a CAF Continental ticket by the end of the season.
