Ex Nigeria goalkeeper, Imama Amapakabo, has cited lack of proper scouting as the reason for the Super Eagles struggle for goalkeepers at the moment.

With Maduka Okoye not getting enough playing time at English Championship club, Watford, second choice Francis Uzoho has also struggled.

For game time, the goalkeeping department has not had it good. Both goalkeepers have also been blamed to be the reason for Nigeria’s poor outing at the AFCON early this year and non qualification for the world cup in qatar later this year.

Imama Amapakabo said the lack of scouting has made it almost impossible to get capable goalkeepers for the Super Eagles.

Amapakabo that because nobody sponsors scouts to see matches and to identify potentials, a lot8 of talents are playing without getting noticed by those who matter.
