Imo Governor gifts Heartland N100m for winning NNL title

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has doled out N100m to Heartland players for winning the 2022/23 Nigeria National League title.

The Naze Millionaires defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 in the final of the NNL Super Eight playoffs early this month.

The reward is for the team’s impressive performance in the campaign.

Heartland were unbeaten during the entire season.

The Owerri club also earned promotion back to the Nigeria Professional Football League at the competition.

Heartland are five-time winners of the NPFL.
