Italian Media Describes Osimhen As ‘Superhero’

The Italian media has described Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen as ‘Superhero’ after he played a key role in Napoli’s vital 2-1 win over Atalanta in Bergamo.

Italy’s widely read and most aouthoritative daily, La Gazzetta dello Sport compared the 23 year old Nigerian to a superhero in game, suggesting that ‘he looks like the Thing from the Fantastic 4.’

Corriere dello Sport says Osimhen ‘belongs to an unknown galaxy. The breakaway goal is monumental, the pass to open for Elmas is devastating. And so he makes up for the penalty.’

Tuttosport also rated the Nigerian highly and wrote “he caused the penalty with a truly casual handball and makes up for it after four minutes by finding the right space and time for an unstoppable header. When he snaps he is an unstoppable irradiator, just ask Demiral.’

Corriere della Sera parised Osimhen for his performance, suggesting that he’s ‘always a protagonist, he does everything himself, handball in the box and penalty, goal and redemption.’

The former Lille of France forward has scored nine goals and provided two assists in 12 appearances across Serie A and the Champions League this season.
