It was joy unlimited as news of the signing of one of their own, Folashade Ijamilusi by a Chinese Women Super League outfit filtered into the Springsoca United camp.
Ijamilusi, who has been with the top talent developers, Springsoca since her teenage years, boasts of an amazing football credentials, which helped her make a seamless transition from the local scene to joining Liaoning Baiye FC in a two -year deal from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions, Edo Queens.
The management, technical crew and players of Springosca United have expressed their delight over the move while also wishing the Nigeria’s Super Falcons star, Ijamilusi the very best in this new chapter of her career.
Ijamilusi, who is one of the best talents in the NWFL last season, helped Edo Queens win the league and also ended the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership season as the league top goal scorer by scoring eight goals.
She equally helped the Edo female Gunners to the West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) Women’s Champions League title in Cote D’Ivoire in 2024.
While reacting on her land -breaking move to China, the CEO of Springosca United, Mr. Emmanuelking described it as a thing of joy while also emphasizing that it didn’t come as a surprise as they have always believed and never doubted the talent of Ijamilusi coupled with her commitment, hard work and determination to succeed.

Ijamilusi also featured for Lagos based NWFL side, FC Robo where she had very brilliant seasons before heading to Edo Queens.
