Following the withdrawal of the Benin Republic as the host of the 45th edition of the CAF Ordinary General Assembly, Kenya is set to stage the event
The Secretary-General of the Benin Republic Football Federation Mathurin De Chacus on Thursday announced the pulling out of the country.
“Dear fellow presidents, it is with great regret that Benin had to give up welcoming you and offer its hospitality to the entire African football family during the 45th General Assembly of CAF,” he said.
The key decision including the host countries for the 2025 and 2027 African Cup of Nations are expected to be announced at the event slated to hold on the 13th of July.
Meanwhile, Kenya has been touted to be the next destination for the African soccer governing body as they continue their readiness for the event.
