Lagos State League Records Multiple Upsets In Week 5

Week 5 of the Lagos State League was full of upsets as some away sides picked valuable victories on the road to set the stage for actions in Week 6.

Two away teams, Arubinjaga FA and Ibeju Lekki United defeated their opponents Utmost FC and Unizee FC 0-1 and 2-3 respectively in the Mainland Conference while SGH Sports tore the record books by beating Ighalo FA 2-0 to the surprise of many.

However, Team 360 continued their good form in the Atlantic conference as they humbled Young Strikers 2-0 at home while Diadem Stallion piped high flying Chekas Feeders by a single goal.

Coach Raymond and his SC Heritage Boys however failed to claim the maximum three points at home as they shared the spoil 2-2 against Lekki Junior Strikers in a dramatic game played on Wednesday at the Camp 4 field in Ojo Barracks.

Week 6 matches continues on Wednesday April 23 in both conferences and promises more spectacles and dramas.

Unizee FC will square up against DN10 FA at home in Agbowa in a difficult game on Wednesday by 3.00pm while Arubinjaga FA will clash with SGH Sports the same day and time at home at Eleja Primary School in Ikorodu.

But the game between Ibeju Lekki United which battles Ighalo FA will be held on Saturday April 26.

In the Atlantic Conference, Young Strikers will entertain Lekki Junior Strikers at home at the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle while
SC Heritage will be at home again but this time against Bucknor FC.

Chekas Feeders will welcome Team 360 to complete the fixtures in that conference with all matches billed to hold on Wednesday, April 23.
