Lagos to shut Akiogun, Admiralty Circle Lekki road for 10days

The Lagos State Government has finalized plans to temporarily close and divert traffic at the Akiogun/Market Road Junction leading to Admiralty Circle in the Lekki area from Monday, July 15, to Thursday, July 25, 2024. This closure, announced by Commissioner for Transportation Oluwaseun Osiyemi, is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction on Oniru Road and enhance traffic management in the area.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and utilize alternative routes during this period. Those traveling to Akiogun/Market Road from Lekki First Junction along Lekki/Epe Expressway should divert via Maruwa Junction to access Remi Olowude and then T.F Kuboye Street to reach Akiogun/Market Street.

Similarly, motorists heading towards Lekki-Epe Expressway from Akiogun/Market Road are advised to use T.F Kuboye Street to Remi Olowude Street (near Pinnacle Station) to connect to the Lekki/Epe Corridor and reach their destinations.

Osiyemi assured the public that State Traffic Management personnel have been strategically deployed to manage traffic flow and minimize inconvenience. He also cautioned that the diversion plan may be affected by weather conditions, potentially extending the closure duration in case of continuous rainfall.
