Ligue 1: Galtier names two qualities PSG lack after failing to beat Monaco

Paris Saint-Germain boss, Christophe Galtier, has named the two qualities his team lacked following their 1-1 draw with Monaco in Sunday’s Ligue 1 tie.

Galtier watched as Monaco drew with PSG at the Parc des Princes.

Kevin Volland’s goal in the 20th minute gave the visitors the lead before Neymar’s penalty in the 70th minute leveled the score.

Speaking after the game, Galtier told Le Parisien that PSG lacked variety and movement against Monaco.

“Neymar hits the ball at the foot, but tonight (Sunday) there was great defensive ardor from Monaco. To get out of these duels, it was very difficult,” Galtier said.

“My team was surprised by Monaco and that surprises me because you have to be used to this kind of match. We lacked variety and movement. We won the second ball higher in the second half.”
