In one of his avowed promises to improve the narratives as it concerns the football ecosystem in Lagos State, particularly, with football coaches, the Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gafar Liameed, has in his personal capacity, paid for the training of 36 football coaches at the National Institute For Sports(NIS).
While acknowledging the needs to train and retrain football coaches, for the benefits of the football ecosystem in the state, Gafar remarked that the sponsorship programme is a not Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), but a personal commitment to help his colleagues, the football coaches become better in their crafts.
The obviously elated beneficiaries of the programme, expressed their gratitude to the sponsor, adding that they would make good use of the opportunity to become better coaches, to the benefits of football in the Lagos State and Nigeria, at large.
Speaking further, Gafar, promised to make the coaches sponsorship programme, a yearly event, even as, he earnestly look forward to having more than 3,000 trained coaches in the nearest future.
